How it works:
New for 2011!!
Each poolie will choose an AL team AND an NL team in form provided, and play 2 split-squad games each week for a 48-game season!
Each "game" will be 7 innings long, and will last 1 week, from Sunday to Saturday. AL teams will play AL teams...NL vs NL.
Points earned by your roster from Sunday's actual MLB games will constitute 1st inning, Monday's games =2nd inning, etc. until Saturday, which is 7th & final inning. Team with most total pts earned over the 7 days/innings will be awarded a "win" in the standings, worth 2 pts. A loss = 0 pts, a tie = 1 pt each.
After 48-game season, the TOP 2 teams in each division (or TOP 4 teams, if one division) will move on to playoffs. Same format will be used for playoffs, except your AL team and NL team will be combined...and no ties will be allowed! Winners of semi-final game will meet in the FINALS. (losers are OUT!)
If one division...1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd.
If two divisions...1st Div.1 vs 2nd Div.2, etc.
NOTES:
The players you choose in form are yours for the season! No substitutes for injuries/demotions, etc.
Players totals will count, regardless of what position he actually plays, or for what team he plays for ( in case of trades). Points earned by any of your players during the All Star game WILL count towards your total for that day/inning!
Tiebreakers:
If there is tie in pts at the end of regular season, position will be determined by:
1. Most wins
2. Most total pts scored (PF)
3. Least total pts allowed (PA)
4. Coin flip
If any playoff game is tied after 7 days/innings, winner will be determined by:
1. Most total HR's
2. Most total DBL's
3. Most pitchers pts
