How it works:
Each week of the NFL reg. season, you'll be picking 3 things for each game!
1. choose a winner vs given point soread (worth 3 pts, if correct)
2. choose a straight-up game winner (worth 2 pts, if correct)
3. select Over or Under total score of 40 1/2 (worth 1 pt, if correct)
In addition....
From your "vs spread" picks, choose one as your Best Bet
(worth 5 pts, if correct)
Predict TOTAL SCORE of Mon. nite game (to be used as a possible tie-breaker)
Poolie with most points, each week, will win weekly pot! If a tie for pts exists, poolie whose Mon. nite total score prediction that is closest to ACTUAL total score, will win...
Prizes:
$4 of every $5 collected from each poolie, each week, will constitute weekly prize.
(amount depends on number of poolies playing)
The other $1 per poolie, per week, will go into a pot to distribute to poolie's with most total points at the end of the regular season.

I have set the bar in a pool, and now, you all have something to try to do!! Just remember ...you can only TIE my greatness...and it will never happen!!! I am thinking of NOT playing next year...unless The Commish gets some REAL football fans to compete! As the great Al Bundy once said... "Polk High football rules!!!" I am also thinking of getting a prize for the day should someone DOES beat me!! too much thinking....though you HAVE set a high bench-mark! Curious to see how many more games before undefeated streak ends...

Definitley a fun year, if not so great....

...this is the saddest time of year, as another season of NFL football comes to an end...luckily, there's still playoffs!! Speaking of luckily...Why Why Why comes thru with a weekly win to end a 20-year drought!! Oh...it only SEEMS like 20 years! ...other poolies to get hot at the wrong time are FYM and Hinger...unless they're warming up for Playoff Pool...Slice Of Pi earns last :-( o' the season, narrowly edging the old man...I guess the nuts don't fall far from the tree!
...final year-end prize money distribution has been determined...and congrat's to: 1st: Gonzo $436, 2nd: J.E.T.S. $260, 3rd: JYD $140, 4th: Cornhuskers $90 and, of course, a full refund of $85 to The Underdogs, who made every pick, every week, and valiantly earns this year's "Alladin Sane Award"...I'd like to thank all those who participated in this year's pool...without you, there is no pool!... hope to see you all in the Playoff version...which is now ready to go!!!
